I also don't care for how they permanently put your shoe size where your foot goes and for all to see when you're not wearing them, which can be a bit embarrassing for us girls who have larger-sized feet. I wear a size 10 usually, but wound up getting these in an 11, since 10s were out. Fortunately, they fit perfectly; the 10s would have been too small. With that said, if you're one of those in-between shoe wearers when it comes to sizes, you may be better off going up a size.
